Three Years Ago
Three Years Ago
Three years ago
It is hard to believe, but three years have passed since my pilgrimage. I even celebrated my birthday in France. And from September 13-October 26 I walked the Camino de Santiago.
The Camino de Santiago
There are several spots where a pilgrim may begin the Camino. The most popular is St. Jean Pied-de-Port in France, quite close to border to Spain. The walk is about 800 km to Santiago.
I made the decision to walk every day except for Sundays-a Sabbath from the Sabbath rest if you like. Which was a good choice, because your feet do need a rest.
People and more people
I did not travel with a group. I was a solo pilgrim. This had its benefits and drawbacks as you may guess. One of the benefits was you make your own schedule. Another benefit was that you meet quite a lot of different people. I met several South Africans on the Camino and quite a few Canadians.
A lot to see and experience

A time to re-share the experience
Now that three years have passed I think I would like to relive the experience and once again share it with you.
